Why we made this

We were sick and tired of being order-takers. Pixel pushers.
An extension of a piece of software.

I remember the first meeting with a client that I actually found outside of those horrible network sites like oDesk and eLance. It was a founder of a little pet product startup. We got on the phone together, and I asked him one question: So, what can I help with?

He rambled on for an hour about the logo he wanted me to design. The conversation went everywhere. We started talking about colors, and fonts, and it was really like he was ordering a meal at a fast-food drive through.

And guess what?

The rest of the job was pretty much that. He ordered me around the entire time, making all of the creative decisions. And if I’m being honest? The logo sucked.

I didn’t have the right questions until much later. There were many missed opportunities and hard lessons along the way. And I don’t want that for you. That’s why we’ve created The First Meeting Worksheet: the perfect agenda for that first client meeting.

We are
not alone.

Precious insights

This is a game-changer!

Yet another fantastic resource from The Futur! The First Meeting Worksheet is rigid enough to stand on its own and guide you through an entire client meeting or call, yet malleable enough to be injected into your pre-existing process and make it better.

I wasn't 100% confident

Not only am I better organized with my briefs/direction, but my clients feel more at ease and feel like they are in good hands with someone who truly cares about them and their business. They also started seeing me more as an expert
